I had the pleasure of staying at The Fainting Goat Island Inn last night and it was absolutely beautiful! Full of stunning decor that perfectly captures the spirit of Halloween and every detail added to the enchanting atmosphere. The accommodations were cozy and comfortable. Marnie, the owner, provided an excellent tour, sharing fascinating stories about the inn's history and sharing her delightful cinnamon rolls. During my stay, I had a few spine-tingling encounters that were both eerie and thrilling. The ghostly presence added an authentic touch to the experience, making it truly special. I would definitely return to The Fainting Goat Island Inn. Whether you're a skeptic or a believer, it's a must-visit for anyone looking to embrace the spooky season in style!

Marnie and Bill are great hosts. My sister and I stayed just a couple of days and wished we had more time. We will be staying again! From the beautiful grounds, very cared-for animals, homemade cinnamon buns and zucchini bread, and all-around kindness from the owners make this place a must-stay.

Had a great time at fainting goat. Marnie and Bill were gracious hosts and fun to talk with. Rooms are period correctly furnished and comfortable. Lounge room is a great place to hang out and meet other travelers. We did not have any paranormal activity to report but i think our late night antics were interpreted as such by other guests. Only reason for 4 stars was the constant dog barking starting at 5 am. We're dog lovers but not at 5 am.

The first thing we noticed was how warm and welcoming Marnie is. She is so pleasant and makes you feel so welcome, we shared stories in the morning and I could just talk with her for hours. Such a wonderful person. Her partner Bill was also very warm and welcoming and they both did a dowsing rod demonstration with us and lent my fiance and I both a pair to use for the evening. The second thing was the beauty of the Inn. The furnishings and the restorations are stunning. The surrounding land is beautiful with an amazing river and island view and the added animals perfect it. We went into our stay with an open mind of if something happens cool if not thats cool too. We definitely had some odd occurrences but I wouldn't say it was anything off the charts. We didnt see any apparitions or have anything touch us. But definitely lots of noises and bumps in the night. Swore we heard a service bell ding once if not twice throughout the night but no where to make sense on where it came from. A knocking or tapping noise from the locked door in the closet, foot steps in the hallway but no one there, when trying to go to sleep had an overwhelming feeling of something being right in my face, fun stuff. We had a very interesting interaction with Jeeves in the bar area that made my hair stand and full body chills. Overall it was a great time, the perfect night away we needed. The property is beautiful, Marnie is incredible and serves homemade cinnamon rolls in the morning, they are delicious. The animals (dogs, pigs, goats and Larry the cat) are great, bed was comfy and we left with some stories to tell. I highly recommend! Thank you so much Marnie for your hospitality and an amazing stay. We really enjoyed it, wish we could have stayed another night. We will definitely be back. Until next time! Sheena and Kyle.

My husband & I stayed at this lovely Inn this weekend. So much to do in the area, including the Corning Museum, which is a treat. Marnie & Bill are wonderful & their menagerie of animals are just adorable! (A special shout out to Gus~Gus, Daisy, & Larry, the cat.) Marnie‘s cinnamon buns are absolutely out of this world! For those of you that are into the paranormal, my husband did hear something. I however, am a heavy sleeper! We will definitely be back!

My second visit. I love this place! Gorgeously appointed rooms in a historic theme with goats of course! Marnie is a wonderful hostess. This visit was uneventful; the spirits couldn't be bothered with me.

Great time at this wonderful Inn. I could have spent an entire peaceful day just sitting on the porch off our room enjoying the sights and sounds of the daily routines of the many birds, the duck family, the dogs, the pigs, all against a backdrop of a beautifully landscaped grounds with the river lazily flowing by. Also nice places nearby to eat and shop, and a casino, if that's your thing. There's also some interesting local history to discover as well. We didn't see any spirits, but this is definitely the place for something to appear. Our hosts couldn't have been more gracious and kind, almost like staying with friends. If you want a relaxing little getaway I highly recommend this Inn.

What a beautiful and lovely inn! As soon as we walked inside, we truly felt "at home." This place is gorgeous inside and out. Every room, hallway, and staircase are charmingly decorated with so much love, and the grounds are so sentimental - very relaxing. And that is just the start of it! Marnie and Bill made us feel very welcomed and spent most of the evening with us. :) They shared guest stories, paranormal equipment, "how-to-use" instructions, and a few good laughs as well. We had a great time talking with them and exploring the inn! Almost forgot to mention that the paranormal activity began within minutes of our arrival (flickering lights, slamming doors, out of place objects - so much fun!). There are journals in each room that capture guest experiences, including our own. Even before departing the inn, we began making plans to come back for another visit. Marnie and Bill, thank you so much for welcoming us into your beautiful home!
